Cronquist House Wedding Inspiration

I’m taking you to Canada with this post for some beautiful wedding inspiration by a wonderfully talented team of vendors! Enjoy this lovely shoot at the historic Cronquist House, captured beautifully by Julie MacKinnon Photography.

From the photographer: “Red Deer is rich in history and has a few hidden gems perfectly set to preserve history and the memories they hold. When we set out to style this afternoon English tea inspired wedding we couldn’t imagine a more perfect setting than the Cronquist tea house at Bower Ponds. Built in 1911 by Emmanuel Cronquist, this victorian style farm-house is a historic icon in the city meticulously maintained by the Red Deer Cultural Heritage Society. At the time of the shoot several of the windows were away for refinishing to keep up the original detail, but that didn’t slow us down. This space is extraordinarily versatile making it an ideal spot for intimate weddings.Sugar by Tracy’s dessert table is a show stopper sure to impress the most discerning guests. With cakes and sweets as rich in flavour as the setting is rich in history, they taste as good as they look. The gorgeous bay windows and elegant lace curtains were the perfect complement to these delicate desserts filling the table and plates with soft natural light. This trio of wedding cakes is a unique alternative to the traditional wedding cake. The varying hight adds visual interest and the complimentary desserts will have your guests lingering the dessert table long after the cake has been cut. This Madison James gown is as amazing from the back as it is from the front, and the intricate lace is soft, feminine and luxurious. If you’re still searching for a gown, this dress is waiting for you at Novia Mia Red Deer. Go try it on! The birdcage hair piece completes this elegant look. Lovespun Creations specializes in designing wedding accessories as unique as you are. A beautiful handmade piece can enhance a simple gown, and complement even the most intricate gown. Hair by Nicole and Zebo Makeup know just how to design your hair and makeup to enhance your natural beauty and complement your style. Your look is carefully planned while considering how every detail will appear in your wedding photos. These professionals also know how to make sure your makeup and hair will remain flawless during one of the busiest days of your life. These exquisite flowers are built to last. The centerpiece was put to the test when Tracy and I both accidentally sent it sailing across the room not once, but twice, before we even had the linens on the table. The blooms weren’t disturbed at all, but we can’t say the same for two vases. So after planning this shoot I have one piece of advice, trust your vendors. This is what we do every weekend. We are constantly researching, planning and networking to make your wedding dreams a reality.”
